What's New?! |
Clubs and Societies 2008University life is much more than just going to lectures, slaving over assignments and worrying about exams... your University experience should be about getting involved and having fun as well. Clubs and Societies at Peninsula Campus are a great way to get more out of your University experience by providing a social outlet, an avenue to meet new friends and also the opportunity to develop new skills that will be invaluable both throughout and after your University degree. Furthermore, being a part of a Club Committee (not just a member) teaches you essential life skills that will benefit you professionally after your course; especially with gaining potential job opportunities. Monash University Peninsula Campus is very lucky to have a wide range of different Clubs including sport-based Clubs, spirituality-based Clubs as well as course-based Clubs. Basically there is a club to suit every person's interest. This section of the MONSU Peninsula website is dedicated to Clubs and we encourage you to investigate the different Clubs available. The site also provides information and resources for existing Clubs as well as information about how to start a new Club. As the Clubs Council Chairperson Officer, it is my responsibility to ensure that all Clubs and Societies are represented on the MONSU Peninsula Student Council, and that there is adequate support and resources to enable the Club Committees to provide for their members. I am also the central contact point for students who are interested in getting involved in Clubs and starting new Clubs. Please feel free to contact me with any enquiries regarding Clubs and Societies. Cheers!! Catherine Gawler
