Education, Community & WelfareThe Education, Community and Welfare Committee consists of a chair and representatives from each of the major faculties on campus. The ECW committee has a mandate to develop awareness and provide representation in 3 key areas: Education Issues The education committee can address problems with a subject, lecturer, coursework, faculty, staff member or administration that needs attention from the relevant departments. Community Issues Issues that affect the university and local committees such as Youth Issues, Social Issues, Community Event Promotions as well as University service provision i.e. Community Services Welfare Issues Student rights issues and general student wellbeing issues. The committee is responsible for liaising with student rights advocates to bring issues to the university in these areas. The education committee has relationships with the university, community services as well as local, state and federal governments so as to represent the needs, wants and demands of you, the students.
