Poster Policy
Poster placement and authorisation
- MONSU Peninsula manages the posters in U Building.
- Posters erected elsewhere on the campus require the permission of the relevant faculty or service area managing the space.
- Campus security will promptly remove posters not authorised by the relevant body. If authorisation is given for erecting of posters on campus, they are to be fastened with blu-tack only - strictly no tape or glue allowed and no posters allowed on glass surfaces.
- Posters erected in areas managed by MONSU, must be approved through the MONSU Service Desk,Gr Fl, Building U. This is done with a stamp that is signed and dated by service desk staff. Posters in MONSU Peninsula-managed areas that do not have this stamp with a valid date will be removed immediately.
Location, length of approval & number of posters within MONSU Peninsula areas
- Posters are only permitted on designated noticeboards (U building). If a noticeboard is marked "exclusive use by MONSU Peninsula", this area is not to be used unless the space has been designated to you.
- Posters are NOT to be placed on any painted areas or glass windows and doors, without the permission of the MONSU Peninsula. Any materials posted in these areas without permission will be removed immediately.
- No more than the equivalent of fourteen (14) A4 sized posters of any one kind may be placed in MONSU Peninsula-managed areas at any one time.
- Posters and notices advertising events shall be approved until the day following the event. All others will be approved for a period not exceeding one month, unless otherwise approved by the MONSU Peninsula.
Other requirements
- Clubs must acknowledge the support of the MONSU Peninsula by incorporating the MONSU Peninsula logo or "Affiliated with MONSU Peninsula" on all posters
- No posters will be approved if they are of a nature that can be considered obscene, racist,
sexist, or promoting illegal activity
- The MONSU Peninsula Student Council can revoke the approval of any posters. In the mean
time, the MONSU Peninsula President can act on behalf of the Council.
