General Officer

She/Her

Studying: Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Hey everyone! My name is Dayna, my pronouns are She/Her. I am a proud Wamba Wamba, Yorta Yorta and Mutthi Mutthi women from Swan Hill and am in my 3rd year of my Bachelor of Physiotherapy which I am enjoying immensely.

I am super excited to be taking on the role of your general Indigenous officer for 2022! Growing up in a small rural community on the Murray, I was lucky enough to be connected to my Indigenous culture all throughout my life. I have been given so many great opportunities to learn more about my culture and allow others to acknowledge and embrace the beauty of our unique culture.

As part of my role, I endeavour to assist in establishing a strong Indigenous community and restore connections with our culture and people down here at the Peninsula campus. Additionally, I am determined to provide support for our people during any hardships, enhance community engagement and deliver appropriate education about our unique and amazing culture to members of Monash Peninsula.

Again, I am beyond keen for what 2022 has to offer and am excited to make big things happen at Peninsula, alongside some amazing Office Bearers who are equally as passionate and committed to making your time at Monash one you’ll never forget. If you see my face around, don’t be shame to come have a yarn with me, I’m always up for a chat!
