Hi! I’m Elaine Lew, and I’m excited to serve as a 2026 Student Representative with MONSU. I first joined MONSU because I wanted university to feel like a community where every student feels seen, supported, and confident to ask for help. Being involved over the past year, whether at Breakfast Bar, Fresh Food Market, or Grill & Chill, showed me how powerful small moments of connection can be, and I’m grateful to continue that work in 2026.
I’m currently studying Education at Monash, and I’m passionate about helping others feel comfortable, included, and empowered. I love meeting new people, having meaningful conversations, and cheering on students as they navigate Uni life. Outside of volunteering, you’ll probably find me watching comedic shows, planning scripts or performances, or discovering new places around Australia. I also enjoy being part of different student communities and supporting first-year students as they settle into Monash.
This year, I hope to amplify student voices, strengthen communication between MONSU and the wider student body, and make our events even more welcoming and accessible. If you ever see me around campus, please say hi. I’m always up for a chat. Follow our socials to stay updated, get involved, and make the most of your uni experience in 2026!
