The Monash Green Thumbs Club is all about nature and sustainability and is the perfect place to connect Monash Peninsula campus users who are into all things green. Are plants your passion? Maybe mushrooms or native plants? Growing your own veggies? Indigenous bush food? Community gardens? Herbs for health? Composting? Does keeping chickens or bees interest you? Well, maybe Monash Green Thumbs is the perfect Monash club for you!
The Monash Green Thumbs Club was established in 2019 by two 3rd year OT students, Mark and Kaitlyn, however, it is time for them to hand over the reins to Edison and Ingrid (also OT students), who are very excited and passionate about expanding the club into 2021.
With all the craziness going on in the world, there couldn't be a better time to join Monash Green Thumbs and take the opportunity to get connected with fellow campus users and most importantly, connect to the healing and nurturing essence of Mother Earth.
Membership is FREE for a limited time! So if Monash Green Thumbs sounds like your vibe, please go to the MONSU Clubs page and sign up now!
Apart from sharing tips and information on social media, we have many fun ideas to implement as things get back to "normal". Also, the new garden beds located on campus need to be planted out very soon! This may be a great activity for any interested residential students to de-stress and connect with others.
Please connect with us via email, or reach out on social media if you have any ideas to bring to Monash Green Thumbs Club, we would love to hear from you!!
