Overview

National Reconciliation Week commemorates two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

Reconciliation is an ongoing journey that reminds us that while generations of Australians have fought hard for meaningful change, future gains are likely to take just as much, if not more, effort.

MONSU Peninsula and our Indigenous Officer invite you to join us in the Student Lounge, Building U for morning tea, to celebrate, as well as show support in achieving meaningful change for our Indigenous community.

We will be providing a range of treats, made by some amazing Indigenous suppliers.

  • Native Australian coffee and tea by Blak Brews
  • Range of Indigenous tea blends by Binjang Tea
  • A delicious selection of Cooee Cookies that not only use native ingrediants, but are allergy friendly

We will also be providing supplies for you to weave your own mini-baskets, using tools and instructions provided by Tjanpi Desert Weavers

MONSU Peninsula is committed to running safe and respectful events.
